Joseph Harris (1744 – 1814) was a composer and organist based in Ludlow and then Birmingham.〔A Biographical Dictionary of Actors, Actresses, Musicians, Dancers, Managers & and Other Stage Personnel in London: 1660-1800. Philip H. Highfill, Kalman A. Burnim, Edward A. Langhans, SIU Press, 1982〕 ==Life== He was born in Birmingham, son of George Harris, and baptised in St. Martin's Church on 21 November 1744. He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford, and graduated in 1779. Early Music Magazine, 2011〕 He married Anne on 12 January 1767, but she died in the same year. He married again in 1771, to Ann Silvester (1748 - 1812).
